PMOW Soft Pretzel Round Up

Well, July’s PMOW participation was a little down, but I think that’s due to my reduced posting. Though the bakers were few, the pretzels were many! We used Alton Brown’s recipe, which you can find here on the original challenge post. I think everyone was satisfied with their results. I know I’ve tried other soft pretzel recipes, but this one tops my list.

Check out all of the lovely pretzel creations below:

Pretzel twists from Tania at Love Big, Bake Often

Pretzel twists from Charli at The Berry Bushel

Buffalo Chicken Pretzels from Jen at My Kitchen Addiction (what an amazing idea!)

And lastly, pretzels of all shapes and sizes, right here at Oven Love

I’d really love to post August’s challenge within the next day or two to give everyone lots of time. What are your thoughts for next month? I’m stuck between homemade BBQ sauce/ketchup and homemade granola bars, but other ideas welcome!

  1. Wow – so many delicious soft pretzels! I’m looking forward to checking out the individual blog posts.

I like both ideas for the August challenge! So hard to decide. I’ve been wanting to make homemade granola bars for a while… but the BBQ sauce might be good since it’s still grilling season. I’m not helping at all, am I?

I’ve been wanting to try the PMOW Challenges, but summer has been crazy, we’re back home and ready to settle down…so I’m up for it this month. I vote for Granola Bars. I’m hoping to do more healthy lunch packing now that school is starting, and would love a good snack recipe.

I’m so sad that I missed out on this this month! (And as you can tell, I’m still catching up since I’m commenting on this only a couple of weeks after it was posted.) I think I’d be up for the next challenge, though, and I’d be happy to make either!
