How to Organize My Recipes

I’ve been thinking about a way to organize all of my recipes. I’d like to create some kind of recipe database that I can search through and organize by category. I found this review of some recipe software. Has anyone used this? Big Oven? Living Cookbook? Do they work?

I tried using Mastercook Deluxe a while back. I mainly purchased it because the software would calculate the nutritional information for every recipe for you. But it gets very time-consuming to enter every recipe, because of all the formatting issues. I guess that’s the point, though–to enter and organize your recipes! Hah. Otherwise, it’s a great product. I’m sure a lot of people use it–I had shopped around and found that a lot of bloggers seemed to use it.

Isued MasterCook when I still had a windows computer and found it very easy to work with, you can also find a lot of recipe collections online for it.
Now I’m on a mac and am still searching for a replacement.

I save all my recipes to a flash drive, then I can take them everywhere and anywhere with me
